According to Erik, Max was looking like a hippy. So it was time for his first haircut. We went to cute place called Kid’s Hair where Max got to watch Dora (to keep him from wiggling too much) for his first haircut. He looks so sharp!

Max is on the move! His walk is still a little wobbly, but it gets more steady each day. We have been calling him “Frankenbaby” with his current Frankenstein walking style. It is so fun to see him develop this new skill.

Max was up bright and early this morning, asking for a waffle. I was sleepy but took the opportunity to grab a few sweet shots of him eating his breakfast in his PJs.

How fast a year has flown by since Mighty Max was born! He has almost tripled in size (born 8 lbs, now 23 lbs), grown from a sweet newborn to a hilarious toddler, and has captured our hearts.
We had a family party to celebrate Max’s first year, it was so much fun! Grandparents and aunts, uncles and cousins spoiled him with awesome gifts. Max now has his own cell phone, laptop, lawn mower and set of golf clubs. Also, lots of monkey themed gifts, great new clothes (because he has grown out of all of his baby duds), and books (his favorite!). Max is a really lucky little one, loved by so many.
He also ate his first cake! At first, he was pretty dainty about the process, but with a little help from his uncles, he had frosting everywhere.
Happy Birthday, Mighty Max!

Blue is one of my favorite colors on little Max. Here are some sweet photos of him in a little blue sweater-suit. Rosie stepped in for a quick photo when Max crawled away.

I didn’t get it together to send holiday cards, so here is our happy new year card. Thanks to my amazingly talented friend Jennie (www.sewellphotography.com) for taking our holiday card photos and so many other ones that I love at our family session this fall. I will cherish these photos always.

Max loves his lion walker! Here are some sweet shots of him showing off his (assisted) walking skills.

Thanks to our awesome friends Jackie & Dave for taking care of Max so we could go out on a date! Here is a fun photo Jackie sent of Max while we were out on the town.
