Our friends Alli & Rob threw a birthday party for their Twins on the field at the Metrodome. Max isn’t old enough to run the bases with the other kids, but he sat up for the first time unassisted on the dot of the “i” of Twins behind home plate!

August 10, 2009 - 10:08 am - Max, how cool. Your mom sat in August 1979 when she was your age. She was an early sitter and an early walker. A week ago when Papa Brown and I were up to visit with you and you parents, Papa predicted you would walk early, maybe by Christmas. I sent your mom and your dad something from Estes Park yesterday. Your dad is getting some Estes Park toffee that he likes and your mom is getting an interesting, hip book on being a mom in the 21st century and coping with all the differences between how a mom and a dad approach things. She will appreciate it. Your Great Aunt Mary Jo and second cousin Kaitlin joined us for the afternoon as we shopped the little stores in downtown Estes. Love you, Amma
